Pauanui

Pauanui is on the east coast of the Coromandel Peninsula, North Island, New Zealand. You may reach it by taking State Highway 25A from Kopu to Hikuai.

It is a small community of mainly retired folk living here full time (approx 1000), however during the summer months the population can swell to over 12,000.

For those who prefer to travel by foot or bicycle, you will find it easy to travel to all points of the Pauanui peninsula, and even take the ferry across to Tairua.

There are Christmas and summer programmes, offering events for the whole family.

In the local shopping centre you can find a general store, a giftwares, cafeteria, pizza parlour, church, library, dvd store, and ice-cream store. Not far from there is a timber+hardware store, the information bureau, and service station.
